Edit Button Placement

I think I remember seeing this suggested previously but cannot find the discussion to chime in on. Having the edit button at the bottom (or at the top) is sometimes less than convenient. Both would be better... floating would be best. Not sure if either of these would be easy of course but I wanted to put this idea out there.
