Forum Navigation

This is just a general suggestion about improving the overall UX and navigability of the forum section of the website.

As one browses through the various forums and sub-forums of a campaign the navigation is fairly clearly displayed. At the topic of the page the current forum and all parent forums are listed and hyperlinked. For example:
Forum > Discussion > OOC

This is the expected navigation.

However, as soon as you click on a thread, this navigation disappears. There is no way to immediately get back to the parent forum or any of its parent forums without clicking the forum tab and starting back at the top.

My suggestion is that the current forum hierarchy be displayed in threads as well as in the forum itself. I can't imagine that this would be too difficult to implement given that you already have this functionality in the forum.

Cheers

Thanks for the idea. I'll put in a TODO on this. I think you're right that
    it shouldn't be too hard.

While we are on the topic, I've thought of a few other things that could be improved for forum nav:

    • In the forum directory, would it be possible to list the pages of a topic next to its name, to allow someone to jump directly to the spot in the topic they want?

    • In the same location, the "latest post" section of the table should ideally offer a hyperlink to the latest post, or at least the last page of the thread.
