No-reply e-mails
When someone posted a message for me on the site message board, it sent an e-mail directly to my personal address, just as it should. I didn't realize that this auto-message came from a No-Reply address, and simply sent a reply via my e-mail program, which was never viewed by the original poster. I didn't realize he hadn't gotten my reply until he sent me another message and I realized what my mistake had been.
It would be nice if either replies sent via e-mail could be posted directly to the message board (a la Facebook) or messages sent to the no-reply address generated a bounceback message that would let me know I had sent it to the wrong place.

I know what you mean. At present, forum notification emails can be replied
to but private message ones cannot.
Unfortunately, it's quite difficult for us to deal with emails so we've
ignored it to now. We'd like to do more, but it's such a pain that our time
is better spent working on other things. Someday, though, I hope to have
what you're asking for here.

I think at least sending a bounce message when you reply to the no-reply address is in order; surely automatically bouncing every email to that address wouldn't be difficult.
