Friend Invite Does not work

Hello.
I received an invite to be friends with derekliese, and so I
clicked the accept link. This took me to an error page on your site
that told me page does not exist.

This was via email.
I clicked the link that says: Accept invitation: http://www.obsidianportal.com/friends/101100/accept
I kept getting a message:
"Sorry, we could not find that page. (404)"

Yes but did your friend send you the invite by sending it to your email address, or by your username? Let us know. Thanks!

He sent it to one of my email adresses. I see no indication of a username in the email.

The quick fix for this is to have him invite you via OP username. We're having some issues with the invite via email stuff right now and are currently working on it. Sorry for this, but at least there's a work around.

I'm getting this same error with the same methodology several months after this post was closed. My current party are not OP memebers (hence the invite=) ). Is there another fix?

Have them create accounts first, and then send the invites to their user names. I know it sounds clunky but it works for now. We ALSO have a bug fix in the works for this one so hopefully it's not an issue in the near future. Thanks for staying with us on this one and sending in the ticket. Most of all, thanks for using OP!
