Spacing issues in character description

I'm trying to put some HTML into the description of my character sheet. There's a big space that I cannot seem to get rid of. It's always a space after the first style="clear:both". I'm trying to float some elements. Here's a link to a character where the spacing problem is evident:

I used firebug and checked out the behind the scenes markup and there's nothing there. When I preview this code in the edit screen it's fine, no big space after the first rows of content.

With no approved DST for Legends of Anglerre I'm stuck trying to find a way to make any sort of a character sheet besides just pasting everything in one column, which is horrible and drives me crazy.

Any help would be appreciated.
